If you are looking to travel south of the border, keep going past Mexico and head to Panka Peruvian in Port Chester.

Friendly for date or family night, you'll find a menu full of seafood as well as other choices such as roasted chicken and steak. The winner at our table was the arroz con mariscos, a seafood rice dish. We also enjoyed rib eye steak a lo pobre – any dish that comes with plantains and yucca is a winner in our book.

The service slowed down after our main, and after ordering tres leches cake our server delivered an unusual rice pudding instead. Realizing the error, the dessert was comp'ed but we would of rather had our tres leches. We'll skip the rice pudding – served as fried rice balls – next time we go.

To cap off the recommendation, you can find a Groupon for 41% off a dinner for two that will make the meal taste even better.

Our bill – without a Groupon – was $90 for two of us including a round of drinks.
