Meet the co-Author of The Butterfly with Torn Wings. Born in Abruzzo Italy, Giovanna fought illness, witnessed World War II as a child, and worked in American sweatshops. This is the tale of a fragile young soul who never gave up. According to her bio on Amazon, "Born into a family of talented designers, she owned and ran her own fur design boutique in Bronxville, New York for many years".
Alessandra Tamerin became friends with Giovanna and was compelled to share her remarkable life. Giovanna, now 80, lives in Port Chester, NY.
