WHY IS RGC ALLOWED TO HAVE WATER HAZARDS ON OUR GOLF COURSE WHEN MR. FLOTIE SAYS MOSQUITOES ARE BREEDING IN STAGNANT WATER ALL OVER RYE? WHEN IS SCOTT PICKUP GOING TO COME OVER AND HEROICALLY PUMP OUT OUR STAGNANT SWAMPS/WATER HAZARDS SO I DON'T GET WNV?????I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!!!!
WHY IS SCOTT PICKUP STILL EMPLOYED HERE IN RYE AS CITY MANAGER?????!!!!!!!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE I SPENT $300 FOR A BOTTLE OF WINE AT THE RGC!!! WHERE WAS SCOTT PICKUP TO STOP ME FROM PAYING THAT MUCH FOR A BOTTLE OF WINE?????!!!!!! NOW US RGC'ERS WILL ONLY HAVE TO SPEND $125 FOR A BOTTLE!!! WHAT A DEAL!! THANK YOU LAUSDEO.COM!!! BTW, I SLIPPED ON SOME SNOW TODAY, SCOTT PICKUP NEVER TOLD ME SNOW WAS SLIPPERRY, IN FACT, I NOTICED ICE IS SLIPPERY TOO AND SCOTT PICKUP NEVER TOLD ME THAT EITHER.

Ted - I can think of two very good reasons that Rye Schools were open today. First, the roads and weather just didn't warrant closing. Second, any "snow" days will have to be made up by opening schools during spring break - that will be a waste of time as many, many kids will be away and the State Aid on offer is an incredibly minor part of the budget (under $16k/day).

With the very long list of school cancellations this morning on News 12 – why in the world was Rye ever put in session today in the first place???
Ok, so meanwhile, back at the scene of the crime (AKA Rye City Gov, not Rye Schools), here’s an interesting development in citizen/government shaming you can read about before the power goes out tonight in the blizzard -
