Due to the impending storm, Rye City Schools will be covering the turf field with its tarp system on Saturday morning. The tarp will remain on the field until weather conditions allow it to be removed.
Athletic Director Castagna is asking for volunteers to assist with the project between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Gloves will be provided. They request that all volunteers wear appropriate, secure footwear such as sneakers or boots.
I can appreciate the effort but if the forecast gets any worse it ain't gonna do much good when the field is 5 feet under water.
